Good Day fellow ASIS Tidewater Hampton Roads area members –   

 

The 1^st Chapter meeting for 2012 is scheduled for Wednesday, January 18^th.  Please be prepared to pay in cash for this event, cost is $10.00.  We are closing out our financials during this time period as our leadership transition occurs. 

Our presenter is Linda Glasson, C.H.P.A.  Linda will discuss Fraud and Theft Trends.  Linda is the security manager for Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, Virginia.  She is a frequent speaker at seminars and training classes throughout the country and has authored numerous articles.  She also provides services as a healthcare security consultant and serves on two editorial advisory boards.  Ms. Glasson is a Certified Health Care Protection Administrator (CHPA) and a registered Private Investigator with Virginia’s Department of Criminal Justice System. Linda is also a Certified Instructor for Handle With Care^®.   She is an authorized trainer (nationally) for the Mead Johnson educational program Safeguard Their Tomorrow and a multiyear contributor to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s publication for Healthcare Professionals: Guidelines on Prevention of and Response to Infant Abduction.  Linda is a life member and past president of International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS), a member of American Society for Industrial Security International (ASIS), and past president of the International Healthcare Security & Safety Foundation.  She is a member of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management and was an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) for twenty-seven years.  Linda currently serves as President of the Southeastern Safety & Security Health Care Conference*(SSSHCC).  Please join us in welcoming Linda during her presentation.
